Minor Illness Clinic

Certain minor illnesses such as boils, burns, wound infections, ear and eye infections, minor illnesses and sunburn - to name but a few, can be seen quickly and efficiently in our Minor Illness Clinic. This service is available to patients, aged 5 years and over, on a daily basis.  Patients can consult Nicola or Wendy , our experienced and qualifed Nurses with specialist knowledge in Minor Illness, who will assess the problem, give healthcare advice and if a prescription is required, one will be issued.  A doctor is available if the Nurse requires a further opinion. 


Community Nurses

We have a team of Community Nurses attached to the Surgery. The team see patients who require nursing in their own homes.


Community Midwife

A Midwife holds antenatal clinics at Woodcock Road each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and shares the care of pregnant ladies with the Doctors. She can give advice on all aspects of maternal health as well as advice on baby feeding and care. The Midwife can be contacted via reception or on 01603 481222.


Health Visitors

The Health Visiting team attached to the surgery can be contacted on Norwich 428108. Each Health Visitor has responsibility for each postcode. If you need to find out your Health Visitor contact the above number and have your postcode to hand. They specialize in the under 5s, but are happy to advise on healthcare for all ages.


Non NHS Services

These include examinations for assessment of fitness to drive and for some reports, passports, private certificates and insurance claim forms. All non-NHS services must be paid for. The receptionist will be able to inform you of the appropriate charge for the service you require. Payment is required in advance.


Self - Certification

If you are ill and need a certificate you should fill in a self-certificate for absences of up to 7 days. Self-certificates are available from your employer or the DSS. You only need to see a Doctor to obtain a certificate if you away from work for more than 7 days.


Private Services

Some medical services are not covered by the NHS, for example insurance and employment reports and medicals, Driving medicals, HGV, Travel documents and solicitors reports. For these services a charge will be made. Details of our fees are available from reception.


 Patients Over 75 

All our patients over the age of 75 have a named Doctor, if you are not sure who your Doctor is please contact the surgery and speak to a receptionist.
