Test results

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

Due to the volume of normal results, we do not report on all normal results unless instructed by the clinician. Please note, we request that you do not assume that a result is normal if we do not contact you.

The surgery will contact you if there is a significant problem with your results, but please contact us for all results as the GP may have made some suggestions or advice based on your results even if there is not a significant problem.

Getting your test results

If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

  • You can use your NHS App and access the results from there. Please note that results are only available once the doctor has reviewed them. If you don’t have access to your record online, please request this in your online account or ask our reception team for help, ideally after 2pm
  • You can access your results via your SystmOnline account. Once you have reviewed your results the entry will indicate ‘Patient informed’ even if you have not been contacted by the surgery
  • You can telephone the practice after 10:30am daily
  • You can follow up your results using our online form
