Non-urgent advice: Long term Locum GPs

At times, such as when a doctor is on annual leave, we will use a locum doctor in order to assist the Practice.

Locum doctors are fully qualified general practitioners and have been fully certified by NHS health boards to enable them to locum at practices.

We try to use regular locums wherever possible to help continuity of care for our patients.

The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Lucy joined the practice in September 2013 as an apprentice and quickly worked her way up to operations manager, Lucy’s role supports and assists the practice manager in the daily operational duties of the practice in line with the contractual requirements.

Care Navigation and Admin Team

Our patient care coordinators (PCCs) are a very important part of the practice, they are the first point of contact for general enquiries. When a patient contacts the practice for a health concern, the PCC team will ensure an appointment is made with the most appropriate member of the team.

They can also provide basic information on recent test results, direct you to the correct clinician, help to answer general questions you may have including prescription requests and they support the incoming and outgoing letters and referrals.

The team constantly strives to keep all the information in the surgery up to date and confidential.

Our mission statement is “your health, welfare and safety matters to us”.
